We would like to inform you in accordance with our legal obligations about the collection and use of your personal data.

General

When you use our website, personal data about you is collected. This may happen because you enter the data yourself – such as your email address. However, our system also automatically collects data from you, for example your visit to our website. This occurs regardless of which device or software you use to access our website.

Any input of data by you on our website is voluntary; no disadvantages will arise for you if you do not provide your data. However, without certain data, it is not possible for us to provide services or conclude contracts. We will point out such mandatory information accordingly.

On this website, personal data of users is collected only within the framework of applicable data protection laws, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The technical terms used in the text are explained in more detail in Article 4 of the GDPR.

Data processing is permitted under the GDPR especially in three cases:

  • according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a and Art. 7 GDPR, if you have given consent to data processing by us; we will inform you precisely in this privacy policy and at the time of consent according to Art. 4 No. 11 GDPR about the purpose and circumstances under which your data will be processed by us;

  • according to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, if processing your personal data is necessary for the initiation, conclusion or execution of a contractual relationship;

  • according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, if, after balancing interests, processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests; these include especially our interests to analyze, optimize and secure the offering on our website – this mainly includes analyzing user behavior, creating profiles for advertising purposes, storing access data, and the use of third-party providers.

Stored Data, Usage Data, and Advertising

Stored Data

We collect stored data (e.g., name, address, and email address, as well as services used if applicable) insofar as they are necessary for the establishment, content-related design, or modification of a contractual relationship between us and the user.

Usage Data

Furthermore, we collect usage data (e.g., visits to the website, interest in products) in order to enable and account for the use of services on our website by the user.

A consolidation of usage data is only carried out by us if and to the extent this is necessary for billing purposes. Otherwise, we will only create pseudonymous usage data, and only insofar as you have not objected to this. You may send this objection at any time to the address stated in the imprint or to the responsible party named in this privacy policy.

The legal basis for this data processing is, on the one hand, our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR in analyzing the website and your usage, and, if applicable, the statutory permission to store data within the framework of the initiation of a contractual relationship pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.

Furthermore, our provider stores information during each use of this website, the so-called server log files, which are automatically transmitted by your browser. These are:

  • Your IP address

  • Type and version of your browser

  • Hostname

  • Time of visit

  • The page from which you accessed our website

  • Name of the requested page

  • Exact time of access

  • The amount of data transferred

This data is used solely for statistical purposes and does not allow us to identify you as a user.

Advertising

Before sending you any advertising, we will request your explicit consent in accordance with Article 4 No. 11 of the GDPR, unless the advertising concerns products similar to those you have already purchased. This applies in particular if you provide us with consent to send our newsletter or fill out a contact form.

Consent

If we ask for your consent to process your data, we will inform you in clear and accessible language about the specific purposes for which your consent is being requested. Any consent we ask for is given voluntarily. Any benefit you wish to receive by giving your consent can also be obtained without providing it—just ask us.

You have the right to withdraw any consent you have given us to process your personal data at any time. This can be done by means of a simple notification—for example, via our contact form, by sending an email to the address provided in the legal notice (Impressum), or by using an unsubscribe link (if provided). Your withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to that point.

Data Retention

Your data is generally stored only for as long as required for the purpose of the respective data processing. Extended storage may occur, particularly if it is still necessary for the assertion of legal claims by us or due to our other legitimate interests, or if we are legally obliged to retain your data (e.g., in accordance with tax retention periods, which are generally 6 or even 10 years).

Cookie Opt-Out

When you accessed our website, we clearly informed you that you can prevent the storage of certain cookies by using the opt-out function. If you did not take this action, we assume that you have given your consent to the use of cookies that were not deselected. This consent can be withdrawn at any time by informal means, such as sending us an email or using the options provided below.

Unless you have objected, our website uses cookies within the scope of our legitimate interest in providing a technically flawless and economically efficient online service, as well as its optimization, in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, and based on your implied consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. These cookies help make our services more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are text files stored on your computer that save certain information about your usage behavior on our site, which may be used to offer content tailored to your prior usage.

These may include so-called “session cookies,” which are automatically deleted at the end of your visit to our website. There are also cookies that remain stored on your computer unless you delete them. This enables us to recognize your browser on your next visit and provide you with offerings tailored to your previous use of our website.

Your browser allows you to disable the use of cookies entirely or selectively. Please refer to your browser’s user guide for more information. Blocking cookies may limit the functionality of our website and others you visit.

You can permanently prevent the storage of cookies in your browser by downloading and installing the plugin linked below. Further information is available via the link provided.

You can also prevent the use of cookies by third-party providers by declaring your opt-out on the Network Advertising Initiative’s deactivation page according to the instructions provided there. A similar opt-out option is also available on this German website.

User Rights

Access

You may request information from us at any time, free of charge, regarding the personal data we have stored about you. In order to prevent misuse, it will be necessary to verify your identity.

Erasure, Rectification, Restriction

You may request at any time that we rectify incorrect data (including by means of supplementation), restrict its processing, or delete your data. This applies in particular if the purpose for processing has ceased to exist, if a necessary consent has been withdrawn and there is no other legal basis, or if our processing of your data is unlawful. In such cases, we will rectify, restrict, or delete your personal data promptly within the scope of the law.

Objection

Regarding the right to object to the receipt of advertising, please refer to our section on consent:

You have the right to withdraw any consent you have given us to process your personal data at any time. This can be done by informal means—for example, via our contact form, by sending an email to the address provided in the legal notice (Impressum), or by using an unsubscribe link (if provided). Your withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to that point.

Data Transfer

You have the right to request the transfer of your personal data stored by us in a machine-readable format.

Complaints

If you believe that our data processing violates your rights, you may file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
[A list of supervisory authorities can be found here.]

Changes to the Privacy Policy

If changes to this privacy policy become necessary for legal or factual reasons, we will update this page accordingly. Such changes will not affect any consents granted by users.

Encryption of Data Entry

When you enter data on our website — for example, via a contact form, during registration, login, or for payment purposes — the webpage where the data is entered is encrypted. This encryption ensures that third parties cannot read the data you enter. You can recognize the encryption by the padlock symbol in your browser and the fact that the address line begins with “https” instead of just “http”.

General Contact Form

If you fill out a contact form, send us an email, or communicate with us via any other electronic message, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry, any follow-up questions, or related issues. This information will only be used in the context of your inquiry.

The data you enter is transmitted in encrypted form, which prevents third parties from reading your data during transmission.

The legal basis for this storage is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, which you grant by submitting the contact form or sending your inquiry. You may revoke this consent at any time by sending us an informal notice (e.g., via contact form or email). The lawfulness of data processing carried out up to the point of revocation remains unaffected.

Your data will remain stored as long as necessary to process your inquiry, in particular if the data is still required for the fulfillment or execution of a contract, for the assertion of legal claims by us, due to our legitimate interests, or if we are legally obligated to retain your data (e.g., in accordance with tax retention requirements).

Social Media Links

General Notes

We refer to our offered social media presences via links. Unlike social media plugins, links do not cause the social media platform to learn about your visit to our site when you call up our website. Like any link, however, they lead to your data being processed by the social media platform at the latest when you click on the link. As a rule, the social media platform will store cookies on your device or even save your usage behavior to your account, especially if you are logged in yourself. The social media platform can analyze your user behavior with your data and use it for (interest-based) advertising. This can result in you being shown advertising both within and outside of the social media platform. Please be aware of whether you want to accept this and only use a social media platform if you have informed yourself sufficiently about the data processing there and agree with it (this applies in particular if you have not used it yourself until now) – we have included links to the privacy policies of the social media platforms.

Facebook

Our website uses links to our presence on the social network Facebook of Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. It is only a normal link; therefore, when you visit our site, Facebook does not learn about your visit to our website. However, if you click the link, you will be redirected to Facebook, whereby Facebook will then also learn that you visited our page.

This results in your data being transferred to the USA. However, Facebook is registered with the Privacy Shield and obligated to comply with EU data protection rules. Further information about your rights can be found at:

http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/document/citizens-guide_en.pdf.

We have no knowledge of, and no influence over, the data collection and use by Facebook that may occur after clicking the link. Further information can be found, if applicable, in Facebook’s privacy policy at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php.

Instagram

Our website includes links to our profile on the social network Instagram, which is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. These are standard hyperlinks. Therefore, when you visit our website, Instagram does not receive any information about your visit.

Only when you click the link and are redirected to Instagram will Instagram receive information about your visit to our website. If you are logged into your Instagram account at that time, Instagram may associate your visit to our website with your user account.

Please note that after clicking the link, Instagram may store cookies on your device or use tracking technologies and may process your data in the United States or other third countries. We have no control over the scope or content of the data collected by Instagram and its further processing.

For more information on how Instagram handles your personal data, please refer to Instagram’s privacy policy at:
