Dr. Ganegama Hakmange Bandula

We are pleased to offer our guests the expertise of Dr. Ganegama Hakmange Bandula – an ayurvedic doctor with decades of experience and a deep understanding of traditional ayurvedic medicine.

Dr. Bandula completed his studies in ayurvedic medicine at the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine. At the same time, he expanded his knowledge through additional courses in modern Western medicine.

After graduating in 1988, he continued his father’s Ayurvedic practice and carried on the family tradition. His wife is also an ayurvedic doctor.

In 2004, he took over the management of the Niroga Herbal Resort near Induruwa before moving in 2006 to become the chief physician at the renowned AIDA Ayurveda Resort in Bentota.

The resort has been highly appreciated by German-speaking guests for many years – and over time, our ayurvedic doctor Dr. Bandula developed excellent German language skills to provide even more personal care for his international guests.

Now, he is available exclusively as ayurvedic doctor to the guests of our Ayurveda Hotel in Sri Lanka. With his many years of experience, he will guide you individually through your Panchakarma treatment, ensure continuous medical supervision, and adapt the ayurvedic treatments precisely to your needs.
